Anyone deciphered the glyphs in the Tower of the M... There are 3 replies

Given the large proportion of disenchant glyphs and outright hostile debuff glyphs (-5/-3 on my primary attack, -2 defence and a vulnerability, all from one glyph. I mean come on!), I am avoiding the glyphs entirely. Which is a pity, since it means they may as well not be there. All they are now is a hazard to navigation.
I tried finding a pattern in terms of appearance, position or location, but they appear totally random. At least with scrolls and potions you have a slight idea of whether or not they're detrimental.
So is everyone else just avoiding them too? Or am I missing something here?

You can only have one vulnerability and affinity attached to any equip at once, including your base self.

yeah, usually the 'X' glyphs dispel all enchantments for me.. :(
i usually only grab glyphs (the one that kinda looks like a genie lamp) on the first floor to try to nab magic defense.. then i just ignore them all.

if you do accidentally step on one and get a dreadful vulnerability (e.g. fire, poison/acid, silver), you can risk stepping another and getting another vulnerability because they don't seem to stack (if you got them from glyphs). or i could have just gotten lucky, i dunno!

on a different note, i finally beat 'Tower of the Magus' for the first time earlier this morning! :D hurray!

I usually just grab the lemniscate glyph for map reveal and, early game, the x since its two effects are dispel and buff.
