Can't play in full-screen. There are 4 replies
Original Message posted by Vicccious on 17/04/2013 at 7:19:20AM
Works fine when not in full-screen, but when I toggle it to full-screen, I get an error.

All it tells me is that it stopped working and let's me close the program.

1440x900 is my resolution which is best suited for this monitor. I have tried other resolutions just to see if that was the issue, and it still crashed in other settings.

AMD Radeon HD 6670 Gfx card, kind of out of date but well beyond what I should need for this game.

Plenty of DDR3 RAM, insanely fast processor, etc. etc. Anything else you would need from me, let me know. Any suggestions?

By the way, i have another problem.
Every non-fulscreen window size works fine, but if i go fulscreen, thats just the '3x' size and the rest of my screen are black pixels. Is there a way to patch it ( maybe not incerasing the size of everything, because that  could possibly look not so nice, but just incerasing the range of the playfield, i mean extra tiles and the same size of sprites like in '3x'.
Thank you for every help and i hope this message is not so hard to read, because im not english.

I'm glad you managed to solve this. Another thing that people with this issue can try is switching to the Direct3D driver by following the instructions below.

Steam
1. Navigate to the 'Library' section of Steam
2. Right click 'Hack, Slash, Loot' and select 'Properties'
3. Select the 'Set Launch Options...' button
4. Enter 'd3d7' into the text field and then click 'OK'

Non Steam
1. Create a short cut for the game
2. Right click the shortcut and select 'Properties'
3. In the 'Target' field add ' d3d7' to the end of the exe path

You can also enter 'd3d9' if 'd3d7' doesn't help.

I checkmarked "Disable display scaling on high dpi settings" and it worked. Just something to suggest to others that may be having issues getting the game to work on full-screen that may have weird sized monitors like me on Windows 7 with weird settings. Can close or lock this now as I solved the problem myself.

Oh, also. Windows 7.
