Guys, Doppelganger. Really, guys?

I'm truckin' along blasting demons, watching my "allies" throw themselves into the meat grinder with my by-then very powerful Amazon.

Suddenly, a "Doppelganger" appears.

OK. That B wrecked my poop.

I hadn't encountered this boss on previous runs through Stormrise. I didn't think, "Oh, maybe I shouldn't have the same resistances as BOTH of my equipped weapons because I'll have to fight myself."

Attempted strategy: Run away!--Tried to find a different weapon, on a level suspiciously bereft of good drops. Ofc, it just mauled me to death 10 damage at a time.

MOST powerful boss in the game so far, hands down. No other boss has had Magic Resistance, Regen, 4 elemental resistances, 40 armor, 120/40 ranged, 205 hp, and a weapon that drains my stats.

Anyone have a tip for defeating the Doppelganger should I encounter it again?

I just got the lemonade clone level feeling, but there was no clone machine :(

It may be linked, but one quarter of the circle was missing. No door and the show level ability both from being a scout and gained from the glyphs said there was nothing there.

Edit: Yup, almost certainly linked. Playing scout and I got teleported to a missing quarter where the map wasn't filled in. There only appears to be unconnected quarters on levels with a level feeling, and at the join where the door should be is a chest on both sides.
