I noticed one:
Quest description in They Dwell Beneath says "inhabtant" instead of "inhabitants".

Ah so a rogue in the traditional sense, like Robin Hood. Fair enough.

Thanks for making the game, really enjoying it!

A rogue would never endanger themselves by entering into melee combat. That would give their opponent a chance of hitting them. Those sneaky rogues prefer the underhand tactic of picking their foes off from a distance. The scoundrels!

The ranger's two weapons harks back to my youth playing AD&D where the Ranger got the special ability of dual-weilding. Ever since I've always imagined Rangers as dual-weilding bad-asses. Plus it's good to break from convention once in a while.

Is it just me or are the Ranger and the Rogue mislabeled with each-other's class? The Rogue should have the concealed dagger, and the ranger should have the ranged attack.

Having said that I just had my first non-Amazon win with the Ranger (that should be the Rogue), on the Tower of the Magus, starting with the Steel Runesword. Yay!

Shadeform is a double edged sword. It makes you very hard to be hit by magic and ranged but also reduces your ranged and magic to hit. It is best for melee characters but some advanced players exploit the stat reduction by boosting the reduced stat with divine/necro damage. Shadeform also gives you the passwall ability which can be very useful.

Shadowform is supposed to HELP you?  I found an altar in Boy King today, and I had a nice offhand orb that was giving me fire resistance.

After praying at the altar, the altar gave shadowform to my orb.

The result was that my magic "to hit" percent was cut in HALF.  I thought shadowform was some kind of curse.  I am new to the game.

I still had the fire resist, but now it came at the expense of cutting my hit % in half?  No, thank you.  I left the orb on the floor and went on exploring.

Was this a bug?

Here are a couple I found, while playing Mask of the Boy King today:

(1) mousing over a lit torch, the description says "gives of an eerie light" instead of "gives OFF"

(2)  a floor grate had description "eminating" a foul stench instead of "emanating."

(3)  After reading a ceremonial scroll, the log said "gives vulnerability to psychic damage" but on the character sheet, it actually gave vunerability to divine damage, not psychic.  The icon was the golden sword, not the pink brain.

Not really a bug, but certain effects of actions show up too early. Examples:

Stunning a creature with staff of lightning shows the whirling animation of stunning on the creature before the lightning bolt itself hits the creature.

Stealing life with a staff of shadow from a living creature plays the related sound before the necrotic bolt itself hits the creature.

In any case.. great game! Thank you very much!

As linkshot says this is usually a GFX driver issue. Updating your drivers should solve it, although some people have had to do a full shutdown of there system after update for it to take effect.

I'm going to rearrange the forum when I get back, I'm currently in the desert, to try and make common solutions like this easier for people to find.

This is a graphics card issue. David gives advice on this in various parts of the forum.

Uh, when I start the game none of the UI loads and it looks like breakout vomited all over the window.  Also all the letters are A's.  And then when I close the window it says EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION.  It's quite odd.

Found a minor UI bug: Clicking on the free space right under the 'Online Help' icon makes it twitch.

Here's a bug that has happened a few times with different conditions.

The game will crash and then stop responding. No attempt to close the window will work. I've tried Alt+F4, I've tried the red X, I've tried ending the program in the task manager, I've tried ending the process in task manager. It won't go away until I restart my computer. I can start a new instance of HSL fine, but I prefer not to.

It just sits there, mocking me.

I don't remember the conditions the first time, but this time I was playing as the skeleton lych knight on the Mask of the Boy King. I had... a large number of skeleton followers. I attempted to change my volume with a keyboard shortcut which does sometimes cause programs to lag for a second and HSL just froze.

Edit: I also lost everything I gained in that game session. I'll go re-unlock those two characters...

Dark Hearts and Evil Minds intro text has "subteranean" instead of "subterranean".

"Etheral" "Distroys" Mask Boy Death

Ethereal Shield
Fire damage destroys lifesaving equipment

"As silence falls the tomb claims another soul to forever walk it's cold dark chambers."

As silence falls, the tomb claims another soul to forever walk its cold, dark chambers.

Also, Geldoffon spawned another of himself and it tried to taunt but came up blank. His clone also shot at me as I clicked the "success" text away.

The "teleport to doom" bug is fixed in my version. It's the latest one sent via email. Perhaps you put the one right before it on the Steam version.

The best exploit was when hitting somebody turned them neutral. Make this a feature for Eye Terror, please!

Shadowform on a Focus from the start may not exactly be an exploit :) (giving you 25% to hit..., only increasing by 0.5% with each blessing)

Reporting a different bug here though - I got the Toy Soldier award, but it didn't stick around so I no longer see it in the list, though I did get the Steam Achievement...

Good spot. I've just had a look and that is true for all enchantments on a characters starting secondary weapon. This affects Paladin, Ninja, Satyr, Pirate, Sorcerer, and Swart Eflf. Enjoy this exploit while you can as it'll be fixed in the next update.

I enchanted Paladin's focus with Shadowform at an altar in the boy king level.

Now even after death, the shadowform enchant seems to be stuck on it.

Got more for ya:
"Heros" twice instead of "heroes" at the beginning of Tower of the Magus.

Spelling/grammar mistakes are unforgivable. I always kick myself when these get through.
