(long version) (if is tl;dr or confuse, read the short version in the end)

hi, i had bought this game in a indie royale, it happens i am addicted to hack slash and loot now xD so i was searching on the foruns for somme info and stuff about the game

but i found an issue, i was playing the steam version of the game wich is verison FB7c (i pressume its the last version since i downloaded it not to long ago)

then i checked the indieroyale download page and decided to download the stand alone version for try it and play without steam the start menu happeared diferent with a artifact list replacing of the charaters type but the standalone version (in menu says version 8) loaded my save from the steam one (i know this is normal because the save localition is the samme)

but then, i closed the standalone game, and opened again in steam, and the saves had somme conflit because i had to delete the save files for the steam version don't crash in the startup with a "exception aceess violation" weird error message

now i pressume the indieroyale download files is not updated but its weird because the save created in the steam version works with the standalone, but the created in the standalone version, doesn't work on the steam version

(short version)
the game has a conflit with the steam version and the game standalone downloaded from the indieroyale webpage, i think the indieroyale download  is outdated

it is possible to update the indieroyale download if its outdated?
and about a change log, for old updates and next updates? (with spoilers warnings in somme parts)

I'm sorry about the incompatibility of the two versions, I try to make changeovers as painless as possible, but this couldn't be helped. The Steam version is actually ready to go, but I waiting on Vavle to do their thing. I'll give them a prod when I get back.

yeah thats what i thought, i thought the indieroyale one was the outdated but it was really weird, usually saves are loaded from a old program to the new but enter in conflict if the oposite happens

thanks for all the answers, AND I TOTALLY WILL BUY DLC; MOAR STUFF FOR THIS GAME IF RELEASED

this game is not very famous (i just know this game because the indieroyale bundle) but have loyal fans :D and now i am one of them

Yes, David wanted to be sure that everything's fine with this version before uploading it so he still has to do the update on Steam.
As of now you can keep on playing with the Indieroyale version, when the Steam version will be updated it will start to work again.
What actually happened is that the Version 8 has changed your save file and so now the Steam version isn't able to read it. :)

Version 8 is the latest and hasn't been prepped for Steam yet. Open its executable through Steam if you want to get the best of both worlds.
